William de Ockham

Well, I want to talk about William de Ockham, or William de Ockam.

He was born in England and he was study in Oxford. He knew write in Latin and talk it; in his time, there was a very important thing, because in this period, a lot of people was illiterary*.



He was a very inteligent person, and he was an misunderstood* person, because in the 14th century the humans thought: If a person don't follow the same theories or the same life mode, is considerated a witch or a wizard.



He was a monk of the Franciscan Order since he was been young. An then, he was created the parsimony theory. He is faoumus by this theory, in it explain: "the theories are more easies when you choose only a way".



William said the existence of God was only a probability, the church was very angry with him.







* He was a person very inteligent
* The people isn't kind with him
